We are celebrating DESIS 5th year in space!

We are pleased to invite you to our 2nd DESIS User Workshop which will be held on the 2nd of November 2023 in conjunction with the IEEE GRSS WHISPERS Workshop on Hyperspectral Image and Signal Processing (Oct 31 to Nov 2, 2023, Athens, Greece). Please be aware that although the conference is back to the normal mode (i.e., in-person), only authors can present their work online if unable to travel, but presentations are not broadcasted online.

You are welcome to register just for the 2nd DESIS User Workshop, or you can attend the complete WHISPERS event. Please specify this during registration.

More than 100 scientific teams are already working with DESIS data. With this workshop, we would like to provide a platform for discussion and knowledge exchange related to spaceborne imaging spectroscopy with a focus on DESIS on board the ISS. We are looking forward to see your progress and would like to get feedback on your experiences and challenges working with DESIS data.

The workshop topics comprise e.g. applications and service developments, physical-based and learning methods, mission-specific aspects such as calibration and validation issues, data transformation, and synergistic use of DESIS data with other missions.
